The village of Montescudaio
​Montescudaio village between land and sea
Just 10 minutes drive from the village is Montescudaio, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Along the panoramic road immersed in the holm oak forest that climbs up to the foot of the old castle, you begin your journey through nature and flavors.
Once on, you find yourself in front of a medieval village where time seems to stand still. Walking through its stone alleys, silent and caressed by the breeze coming from the sea, you will reach the central square and, admiring the palaces of noble families, you will arrive at Palazzo Guerrini, seat of the municipality.
Going down to the valley, from the terracotta terrace of the old castle walls, the view ranges between the green of the valley and the blue of the sea, in a breathtaking setting. On the luckiest days, you can even see the profile of Corsica.
City of Wine and Bread, since 1977 has obtained its DOC. In August "Vino Estate" is held, an opportunity to get to know the excellent wines of the area.
