Island of Elba

In the heart of the Tyrrhenian Sea is the island of Elba, a pearl of the Tuscan Islands National Park, a protected area, established in 1996, which also includes the islands of Capraia, Gorgona, Pianosa, Montecristo, Giglio and Giannutri. The National Park of the Tuscan archipelago is the largest marine park in Europe. Wonderful islands, all rich in nature and vegetation and characterized by beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. On the island of Elba there are many sites to visit: the Napoleon’s Residences at Villa dei Mulini and Villa San Martino, both in the municipality of Portoferraio, and then many museums such as the archaeological museum of Linguella, the Elban Mineral Museum and the Museum of peasant art.
